Supa Fly Ty. This is Ty Garner's playoff tribute to wrestler Sweet Daddy Siki - Sweet Afro stylin's which he grew during the 1998-99 playoffs.
Ty's 'fro goes back to the old skool; Refer to figures 1 thru 3 for a visual representation, and we'll break them down for you step by step.

Figure 1: The Ty-Dye. These photos were taken during round 2 of the playoffs. By this point you can see the blonde dye job fading and the roots starting to show. This gives the style that special "wig" look. The blonde, however is still a very vibrant and strong colour. Whoever did this dye job was a Pro - Miss Clairol would be proud.
Figure2: The Afro Height. Reach for the top, which is what Ty did to get maximum height out of the afro. During its peak, the 'fro had reportedly reached an impressive 6 inches...Not bad for a few months! Ty was using the official RinkRat -"Fight the Power" Pik which was purchased from Golden Hair Supply (Next to Lloyd's Barber Shop).
Figure 3: Facial Hair. This completes his "I mean business" look. We were scared & so were a lot of other people in Durahm Region.
Supa Fly Ty, you rock. To quote James Brown, "Say it loud. I'm black & I'm proud". We are proud to have you as a recipient of a Style&Substance award.
